Just read about Vida Vega winning the award for The Best 2D Animation (at The British Animation Awards) on the Computer Arts website. Every time I re-watch the ad it makes me happy to know that Vega and his team were acknowledged with this award.
Vega created/directed this ad for Tempo tissues which features his artwork on the tissues. From what I read his illustrations were drawn on the actual tissues in what Computer Arts writes as “ in his classic, caligraphic brush-and-ink style.” I am going to have to look into his work now.
Vida Vega works for the British production studio Film Club, which is the umbrella under the Tempo ad was created under.
Small side note: The article for the British Animation Awards 2012 on Computer Arts has featured the other artists and creators that were awarded. Definitely something worth looking at.
